In 2013\, I came to Auckland with a two-year travel plan\, intending to return to London after that… and I’m still here.\n\nMy tango journey began in 2009\, an ordinary person with a 9-to-5 job and no dance background walked into a tango class in London. Since th en\, the love and passion for tango have stayed with me.\n\nAfter moving t o Auckland\, I began travelling to Buenos Aires every year to continue my tango journey\, learning from some of the most respected and inspiring tea chers there. I also immersed myself in the culture\, engaging in conversat ions with the great milongueros and milonga-hopping (social dancing) most nights until the early hours of the morning — sometimes until 6am. Hones tly\, I have never seen the morning of Buenos Aires.\n\nMy passion is to i ntroduce the new generation to this captivating and beautiful dance and to help grow the tango community. I began teaching tango in 2016 at Auckland University of Technology and now teach at Pasión Por Tango studio (¡Tan go Otra Vez!). In addition to teaching\, I organise milongas\, DJ\, give p rivate lessons\, guest teach at events such as Latin Fiesta NZ\, and perfo rm at various functions.\n\nFor me\, tango is a sensual dance that comes f rom the heart and complements the music — less is more.\n\n~ ABOUT the C lasses ~\n\nI teach authentic tango as it is danced in the milongas of Bue nos Aires and around the world.\n\nMy classes are engaging\, fun and infor mal\, with a focus on technique\, musicality\, and developing the partners hip.
