orld Tango Championship 2025\, will be teaching this coming Monday’s cla
sses.\n\nThis is a special opportunity to learn from world-class dancers\,
not only refining your Tango technique\, but also experiencing the richne
ss of Tango as a culture\, its history\, and its unique connection on the
dance floor which they will be sharing with you all.\n\nCome along for an
inspiring evening of learning\, connection\, and beautiful dancing .\n\n\n
 The price is\n1x Class - $35\n2x Classes - $45\n\n\nAbout ME\n\nI am origi
nally from Malaysia and spent most of my adult life in England. In 2013\,
I came to Auckland with a two-year travel plan\, intending to return to Lo
ndon after that… and I’m still here.\nMy tango journey began 14 years
ago\, an ordinary person with a 9-to-5 job and no dance background walked
into a tango class in London. Since then\, the love and passion for tango
have stayed with me.\nAfter moving to Auckland\, I began travelling to Bue
nos Aires every year to continue my tango journey\, learning from some of
the most respected and inspiring teachers there. I also immersed myself in
the culture\, engaging in conversations with the great milongueros and mi
longa-hopping (social dancing) most nights until the early hours of the mo
rning — sometimes until 6am. Honestly\, I have never seen the morning of
Buenos Aires.\nMy passion is to introduce the new generation to this capt
ivating and beautiful dance and to help grow the tango community. I began
teaching tango in 2016 at Auckland University of Technology and now teach
at Pasión Por Tango studio (¡Tango Otra Vez!). In addition to teaching\,
  I organise milongas\, DJ\, give private lessons\, guest teach at events s
uch as Latin Fiesta NZ\, and perform at various functions.\nFor me\, tango
is a sensual dance that comes from the heart and complements the music
 — less is more.\nAbout the Classes\nI teach authentic tango as it is dan
ced in the milongas of Buenos Aires and around the world.\nMy classes are
 engaging\, fun and informal\, with a focus on technique\, musicality\, and
developing the partnership. The classes cover the fundamentals\, giving y
ou the confidence to dance socially with anyone at the milonga.\nTango is
more than just a dance form\, and you will discover its depth throughout y
our journey with me.\n*What is Milonga? The term “Milonga” has three m
 eanings: (1) A style of Tango\; (2) Tango music genre\; (3) A social event
or location for tango dancing. Here\, we are referring to (3).\nAuthentic
Tango\nTango is a culture and necessity – particularly in the hearts of
Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Tango became a symbol that reflected the mus
ic and folks' way of living and emerged in the 19th Century. This style of
dancing is social and unique in the genre of music.\nThe beauty of Tango
is in its improvisation\; there is no set sequence or steps to follow\; an
d we dance with different partners all the time. No two tango dances are e
ver the same.\nClass Benefits\nAs Tango isn’t built around learning rigi
d steps or sequences\, it’s both great fun and relaxing especially after
a tough day of studying or working. It’s also a great form of exercise
both physically and mentally. It’s also a fantastic way to meet people a
nd make new friends.\nDo I need to Sign Up?\nNo sign up required.\nWhat sh
ould I wear?\nClothing that is comfortable to move around in. For footwear
\, wear shoes that you can pivot easily and don't stick to the wooden floo
r.\nDirection to the Studio &amp\; Car Park?\nWhen you arrive to the addre
ss\, you will see a building named "Parisian Building" on your right and o
n the left is a car park which is free for the dancers(**). Follow the roa
d around to your right (Parisian Building is now on your left)\, you will
come across a metal gate on your left\, walk down the stair you will see t
he studio.\n(**) If you park behind another car in the car park\, please d
o not assume the owner in front of you is also attending the same event as
you\; please leave a note and contact number on your windscreen so the ow
ner knows where to find you or contact you. Otherwise\, your car maybe at
risk of begin towed. \nFor all enquiries\, please email or text us\; or w
 e'll see you soon!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
