Belle Canto Women’s Choir led by music director Clare Martin is excited to present a programme of Latin American music on Sunday 17 November at 5pm in the beautiful acoustic of St George’s Presbyterian Church, Takapuna.
Performing with the choir is Aotearoa’s critically-acclaimed tango quartet Milonga de Cuatro who will perform some of Astor Piazzolla’s famous tango songs with piano accordion, strings, piano and soloists.
From Colombian Cumbia to Spanish Cancion and Brazilian Bossanova, come along for a Fiesta of music! Songs include Girl from Ipanema, Andalucian lullabies, folk songs from the Andes, and Nella Fantasia from The Mission.

International Tango Day – Concert & Milonga with AOTANGO performing live on Friday December 6th
Last year’s event at Auckland Museum was a sold-out success .
Join AOTANGO quintet for an evening celebrating tango.
Presented in two parts, the evening will open with a concert programme of tango and world music, and will conclude with a milonga, open for dancers to dance tandas (sets) of tangos and waltzes.
The Auckland event will be at 7pm on December 6th at the Westlake Girls Event Centre.
The Concert & Milonga will be repeated on Monday December 9th in Palmerston North and on Tuesday December 10th in Wellington.
