I am originated from Malaysia and spent most of my adult life in England until 2013 when I moved to Auckland.
I started my Tango journey at a respected Tango School in London in 2009 and have been studying with some of the most well known and respected teachers in Buenos Aires since 2014.
One of my greatest passions is introducing the younger generation to this captivating and beautiful dance and to pass on what I’ve learnt from these great teachers to anyone who wants to continue developing their Tango skills. For that reason, I began teaching the Tango in 2016 at the Auckland University of Technology, now at ¡Tango Otra Vez! in the CBD every Monday and Wednesday; and a new weekly class starting on Thursday in Waiheke Island in October 2023.
Apart from teaching, I organise milonga, DJ, give private lessons, a guess teacher in events such as the Latin Fiesta NZ and performed at various events.
For me, Tango is a sensual dance that comes from the heart and complements the music, LESS is MORE. To be able to achieve that unique and sensational feeling in every dance, a combination of various techniques is fundamental and I’d love to share them with you.
