Denise’s Tango teacher-training experience began in Tauranga with Carl Robson from Auckland in 2011, and after her subsequent trips to Argentina for training at Escuela Argentina de Tango, she started her own Tango classes teaching Beginner, Improver and Intermediate classes in Tauranga.
Denise’s passion for ‘the language of Tango’ is warmly shared with her students and has had a consequential impact on the growth of an enthusiastic youthful Tango Community in Tauranga. Denise’s teaching focuses on ‘connection, creativity and quality of movement’.
Carl Robson has been dancing and studying tango for 21 years and has taught tango in the Auckland region since 2000.
His preference is salon tango in close embrace but also has an interest in the more modern movements that have evolved in the past 15 years.
He enjoys dancing in a café environment and for 16 years, hosted the Limon Café milonga and now hosts The Vodka Room Milonga.
Over the years he has visited Buenos Aires 9 times to develop a deep understanding of Tango.
Denise and Carl will be leading an “Tango Foundations – basic elements” workshop for Beginners.
